With the NFL playoffs in full swing, that means one thing and one thing only—super bowl time! Only 2 teams remain: the Seahawks and the Patriots. The Seahawks led by Sam Darnold, Jaxon Smith Njigba, Nick Emmanawori, and Jalen Milroe (Alabama’s finest), look for their second super bowl win. On the other hand, the Patriots led by Drake Maye, Steffon Diggs, and Christain Gonzalez look for their seventh super bowl win. The Patriots rank 4th in the NFL with 128.9 rushing yards per game, and the Seahawks rank 6th in the NFL with 123.3 rushing yards per game. Clearly, rushing is a key factor to be successful in the NFL. Not only are both teams top 10 in rushing, but also passing. The Seahawks are 8th in the NFL with around 228 passing yards per game, while the Patriots are 3rd in the NFL with around 250.5 passing yards per game. Sam Darnold is the starting quarterback for the Seahawks and Drake Maye the starter for the Patriots, Drake Maye’s deep ball is a huge asset in his game where he ranks 1st among all quarterbacks in the NFL with a completion percentage of 72 percent on throws longer than 20 yards. Sam Darnold’s accuracy though is one of his best assets, where he ranks 6th in the NFL with a completion accuracy of 67.9 percent.
Now, who do I think is going to win? It has to be the Seahawks. They are the more battle tested team, make more splash plays such as punt returns and interceptions than the patriots, and are led by the best receiver in the game.
Let’s see what the people of the Hill are thinking. I did a survey, and 12.5 percent said the Patriots are going to win, while the other 87.5 percent said the Seahawks will emerge with the victory. Either way, we’re in for a great Super Bowl!
